Silence holds the room in a deep embrace while I process his words.

"What do you mean you agree with the boy?"

"Something is off with you. You are disconnected, full of venomous attitude and out of touch with self."

With a deep breath, I try to regain control in a situation which suddenly fells as if it is going against me.

"It's just a hard moment in life right now, Sir." A sarcastic note hits the last word, as it flicks off my tongue. For I wait a breath, trying to internally compose myself. "It is not my intent to show disrespect to either of you, in any of my roles within this household."

"And yet..." The words hung in the air.

An overwhelming emotional waves , my shoulders sagged, and I nodded.

"Our boy came to me with concerns for your health and well-being. You've unnecessarily worried him, caused concerns for me while I was on travel and worse yet- placed yourself in stressful situations, hard mental states and a place of personal exhaustion."

His words cause me to notice a mental weight I did not realize I carried.

"You are to take the rest of the day and tomorrow to clear up your desk. Alert your office you need to take two days off. This is a three day weekend, it will give us enough time to adjust this attitude and hit the reset button."

"That is not necessary, Sir. While I know I'm out of sorts, I don't think we need to initiate a reset protocol and rite. Besides, the rest button takes more than just a command to make it happen."

"Then we should follow the household rules and take a vote. Two-thirds majority will either start the reset protocol or we will sit down to find a different direction. As per our whole agreement when we all entered this unique relationship - we are all equal for this vote. Do you agree to to the vote, Tess?"
