Douglas Davies, the school rebel, has found himself in a predicament: he has to take his important GCSE exams in 4 months but hasn't been paying attention in class for the past 5 years. Against his will, his Headteacher and mother force him to take tutor lessons from another pupil in his school in the hopes that he might actually listen to somebody his age. The person who's introduced to him as his 'peer tutor' appears to be a dull, irritable boy with fire-ginger hair. How will Douglas, the academic disaster, cope with having to be around an awkward, socially inept nerd almost constantly?

Fred is your typical teenager; moody, has low-self esteem, and is really bad at math. The only thing that makes him different from the other guys is his taste in music and his sexuality. He knows what he wants right from the start, but is scared of other people thoughts and judgements, and that's why he's kept himself inside the closet ever since he realized he's not really into girls. He tried to hide it from everyone else, even to his close circle of friends, but all of his plans started going south when he meets their new neighbor, Darren, a very handsome fellow who moved to Los Angeles with his family all the way from South Korea to live at the house on the other side of the road. Fred falls for him at first-sight, and things started to escalate when he found out that they were on the same class, and things got even more deeper when Darren agreed to be his tutor in calculus. That's when he realized that his hiding needed to stop. Witness as the two of them struggle with their hardships, relationships, and responsibilities in life as they try to keep their friendship intact from a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Will they manage to keep their relationship as it is, or will it develop into something more, that even an ocean spanning miles and miles couldn't completely separate them from one another?
