Racetrack was kind of a newsie hybrid, he sold papes in Manhattan and in Brooklyn when he went to Sheepshead. While visiting his beloved racetrack he some how manages to form a unlikely bond with the Leader of Brooklyn, Spot Conlon. What happens when the "King" of New York and King of Brooklyn fall head over heels for one another? -- Why is my silly little story popular? I don't own Newsies Please please be nice about spelling and grammar mistakes!! I have dyslexia and I mainly write late at night!

No one knows about Racetrack's past, and not many people bothered to ask, until he started babying scars. He refused to tell them, but when Spot, then Race himself, gets kidnapped one day, how will they find and save Race and Spot? He'd be forced to tell them his past. (I do not own Newsies or any of the characters, other than maybe a few who I made)

Racetrack Higgens has a soulmate. They had deep, beautiful brown eyes. They didn't have a good living situation, if the dark brown spots that covered his back and slashes over his ribs were anything to go by. They were ambidextrous, and they had been cutting neat lines into their arms since Race was 14. Spot Conlon had a soulmate. They had bright blue eyes and were perfect, Spot was convinced of that. In Between 'Hattan and Brooklyn || A Sprace Story by Broadway_Crackers

Racetrack Higgins was a normal Manhattan Newsie- more or less. He was Gay, but so were all of his brothers. He was Jack's Second in Command and had a rough past. He was stubborn, has anxiety, and is a good bit chaotic. Spot Conlon was not a normal Newsie. He was the King of Brooklyn, the Borough feared by most. Except for Race. (And a few others.) Said Italian blonde boy was actually a half Brooklyn, half Manhattan Newsie, as he sold in Brooklyn. Sure, Spot scared him sometimes, but not a lot. They were very different. Spot had brown hair, Race had dirty blonde. Race had been to the Refuge, Spot hadn't. Spot had brown eyes, Race had bright blue eyes. Race was strong, but easily outnumbered, Spot was strong, but wasn't easily outnumbered. One think they both agreed was that they cared for their boys more than anything and would do anything to keep them safe. Oh, that and that the other was cute. Or hot, depending on if you were Spot or Race. ~~ Excerpt from the Story ~~ "Hey, Race." Ace starts, picking up his cards every time Race passes one to him. Race hums, passing a card to Sling, then himself, and then Ace. "Do you have a crush on Spot?" Ace asks, still staring at his cards. Sling hides his smile with his cards in front of his face, stifling a laugh. "No." Race answers, his face reddening slightly as he passes out another card to each boy. Ace looks up at him. "BS." He responds, smirking. Race scowls at him, pulling his hat off of his head and smacking Ace with it, all while his face turns bright red. Ace and Sling laugh. ~~ ~~ (I do not own Newsies.) Racetrack Higgins is many things: a newsie, a gambler, witty, and smart. And he also wasn't born a boy. He can count the number of people who know that fun fact on one hand. It's a struggle to live as a boy while trying to make sure no one knows where he came from. Luckily, he has Jack to help him--a guy who wasn't born a guy, just like him. Racetrack Higgins, also known as Anthony Higgins. He was abused by his father until he ran away at the age of 7. He's been to the Refuge twice, and lives with the Manhattan Newsies, as Jack's second in command. What happens when Oscar falls for the Italian speaking Newsie? What happens when Race falls for one of his sworn enemies? What will their friends/family's reactions be? What will happen? Will they be happy and live together? Or will their relationship crumble?
