23 was a 15-part, 4 month serial writing project in 2000 wherein a new, unpolished chapter would appear on Skewed Perspective.com approx. once a week. It is presented here, warts and all and is very much a product of its time.

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book!
