In the sudden silence, the only sound was the thud of her heart and the whisper of fabric as the unseen figure closed the distance between them. Strong arms wrapped around her waist, and she felt a hand splay against her neck, gentle yet firm, sending a jolt of fear and unwanted excitement through her. The music remained off, and the crowd froze like a paused painting, their collective breath held in suspense. The warm breath on her ear sent shivers down her spine as he murmured, "Guess who?" His voice was a dark symphony, a promise and a threat wrapped in one seductive package.

The man looked me up and down, his red eyes staring through me."You... Are a werewolf." "So I've noticed" The man scowled, his lips pulling back revealing the sharp fangs nestled between his teeth. I stepped back, startled by the sudden conclusion that formed in my head. Vampire. "Thank you for the clarification, wolf. But I don't need a 'mate.' Especially not a werewolf one." My fear disappeared, and I frowned, anger filling my mind. "What's wrong with being a werewolf, Dracula?" The man turned, marching towards me until we were face to face. My heart skipped a beat as he glared at me, both fear and lust being the cause. "Let me make one thing clear. We are not mates, and never will be. Vampires are a highly respected society, and a proud people. I will not stoop so low as to 'mate' with a stupid wolf, just because he says we're 'destined to.' Let alone a male wolf." With that, he disappeared into the woods, leaving me alone.Complete

Tears begin to fall as I scream at him, watching as he approaches me like a predator, his hands bloody, his eyes turning black. I'm trapped here, forever. And he couldn't be more happy.Complete

Something didn't feel right. I looked around my room slowly; cautiously; taking everything in and trying not to feel too nervous. Perhaps Lure was in my room right now, watching me, silently laughing to himself. I didn't doubt it. I slipped off my bed and walked around, hugging my waist, and tilted my head. I felt my rough ponytail slide against the back of my neck and over my shoulder as I moved. "Lure?" I hissed, "Lure, are you there?" I wandered around a little, for some reason feeling scared. But why? It was only Lure. He wouldn't hurt me, would he? "Okay, Lure. Quit it. I know it's you. Who else would it-" I stopped, startled, when I heard a strange sound that made me cringe. It was like fingernails being dragged across a chalkboard. I whipped around and came face-to-face with my mirror. Immediately, I saw the difference. Various scratches were displayed across the glass, forming words. It looked as if claws had written the words in the mirror. "Deepest apologies, but it was fun." The car screeched to a halt as the body flew over the bonnet, slamming to the ground in a sickening thud, the head slamming into the concrete and cracking upon impact. Warm red blood seeped onto the floor as the mouth gasped for breath, a bone sticking out of the chest of the young man on the ground. He gasped for air, his eyes blurred and fighting to stay open. The driver of the vehicle rushed to his side, she bent down and gasped at the sight of blood under the young man's head. Standing back up she backed up to her car, climbed in and drove away at speed, not caring about getting him help...feet ran towards the young man, and voices where heard talking to the emergency services. Hands felt his body all over, trying to offer comfort, but he could feel his life ebbing away.Complete
