Karuma spent her days like every other Young Blood in the backwater streets of war ravaged Hells Gate. Working odd jobs-some less legal than others- in order to help keep a roof over her growing families heads. Karu just wants to provide for her little sister Sari, and avoid the bloodthirsty street gangs that are endlessly trying to bully her into their ranks.

But there's a rumor going around, a dark whisper in the gutters of the streets. About men in suits lurking around their neighborhoods, flashing white smiles and gilded pockets. Men who always prelude the disappearance of Young Blood. And when Karu witnesses one of the supposed kidnappings for herself, her life becomes far more complicated than she ever could have imagined.

Now in hiding from an underground government organization, she runs right into the arms of Hawk, gang leader of the Rippers. He offers her protection, in exchange for her vow of loyalty, and she hesitantly agrees.

One day later, and Hawk is betrayed by an ambitious underling known as Rat, and sold out to the mysterious kidnappers. Karu escapes by the skin of her teeth and makes it home, only to realize her family has betrayed her too.

Now Karuma must face a darkness in the bowls of her city, as she comes head to head with the truth of her governments scemes, and the war that broke America nearly two decades ago. The war of Fang and Claw.

They want evolved humans. They want strong, adaptable youths. They want warriors.

They will create a weapon, which could destroy the very foundations of humanity.

43 parts Complete
"Dad's gone," my cousin's voice was barely above a whisper. "You must come home for the Evaluations," she uttered and the phone line went dead. ***** After Keri's Uncle - the Alpha of the Silver Bullets pack - loses his battle with cancer, the young woman is summoned away from University and back home to take part in the Evaluations - a series of challenges that would help determine who would take on the role of the new leader. Once the responsibility of caring for over a hundred werewolves falls on Keri, she must stay with her pack in Woodville, relinquishing her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer. The young female soon discovers that her new position is even more demanding that she'd always thought it would be, but she is determined to prove herself and justify the trust placed on her. Respected for her good judgment, physical abilities and compassion, the twenty-four year old lacks in one of the most important aspects an Alpha could: she has yet to choose a mate, or so the pack thinks. Little do they know, Keri has already recognized the man to bear that title, but deciding that his personality and lifestyle might prove detrimental to her wards, she gives up on another dream: the dream of being with someone she could confide in and always depend on. With an unknown enemy determined to ruin the Silver Bullets, never before had Keri needed that man as much as she does now. Things only get worse when he somewhat reluctantly offers his help; now Keri must fight not only the pack's foe, but also herself as she's forced to work with the person her heart desires but her mind does not approve of. ***** • Updates on Sundays • Proofread • Draft (basic edits done) • Best rating so far: #89 in Paranormal © 2018 Dilyana Kyoseva (CatMint5) All Rights Reserved
