This story is for my little brother. He was the best man I ever knew, and he died too young. No, he didn't leave this life the way I tell it in this story (it is, after all, a work of fiction), but he might have had things played out a little differently than they did. Much of what you are about to read is true. Just as much is pure fiction. You'll get that (in spades) as the book progresses.
