Elizabeth is different from the rest, tragedy and trauma at an early age will do that to you. She thinks she's going crazy when she meets a guy on her first day of senior year and feels a way she never has before with only a few spoken words.
Caleb is a completely normal guy on the football team with a not so elaborate life experience, he's only seen how his world works and tries his best to keep an open mind. Suddenly after his 18th birthday he meets the girl that's captures his purple eyes. He doesn't know how to react when he realizes she isn't exactly what he expected and notices some things aren't how fairy tales say meeting your mate would be.
