Much to her daughter's dismay, Alexa's mother has fallen in love with the idea of moving into a new house. To make matters worse, this particular building belonged to none other than her very own eccentric uncle that had recently passed away. The property was left in a state of chaos after he'd left, meaning the task of sorting through his possessions and cleaning the place up was left to them.

Follow Alexa on a journey of discovery, learning about both herself and the black sheep of the family who used to own the house. It's one thing uncovering the disgusting hobbies her late uncle kept (a mixture of taxidermy, dissection, and ancient methods of torture), but when a series of mishaps leads to her inheriting something from the man she never could have dreamed up, it's up to her to make sense of the crazy situation.

“You can’t tell anyone,” she begged. “Please. You just can’t.” “Your secret is safe with me.” Travis assured. Alexa’s eyes popped open in shock. “That is, as long as you leave me alone. No more following me, trying to speak to me, or even looking at me. I refuse to be associated with someone like you. Those kinds of relationships are what get people killed, you know.” As much as she hated Travis now, Alexa didn’t want him dead. She never thought of her living being the cause of someone’s death until this moment. Hell, she didn’t even know her fourteen years had been a crime. “Fine. Deal. Whatever. But if this gets out I know exactly who to turn to.” “You’ll be imprisoned before you can get to me.”
