In a secret community hidden from the real world, people with abilities like controlling plants and animals is normal. People like this grow up and train to become great leaders, successful business men, and special agents. Most people who are gifted with these abilities will learn to blend in with normal people, only using their gifts to benefit others.
Carmen Wolfe is a fifteen year old girl who discovers she has a powerful, unique gift that no one else has. She never knew she had this gift until an accident at summer camp; but was it really an accident or was it planned? As Carmen begins tenth grade, she starts to believe the accident at Camp Wakina was no mere accident, but an attack by the Black Vertigo. An evil organization set out to take over the world by using their own abilities.
Furthermore, who were the wolves that fought them? Carmen struggles to learn the truth, juggling around classes, assassin training, and tutoring seven new guys at Cambridge Private School. To add to the mix, sudden attacks from the Black Vertigo occur more frequently when the seven mysterious siblings begin to attend the school. Just who are these people and why do they revolve around her?
