The human race is ill with an incurable disease.

More than half of the population has been decimated, and the survivors all live in one city.

The Pillbugs protect the City from the Monsters, mutated humans who, unfortunately, did not make it into the calm confines of the City.

And while the disease is currently incurable, there is a way to slow down the lethal virus.

A special pill.

One in the morning, and one in the evening is all it takes.

Twenty-four hours without taking a pill would have dire consequences.

But a girl from the City is about to uncover something dark.

Something that could change the City as we know it.

Nimah is like all of her peers.

Diligent.

Intelligent.

And, perhaps, a bit paranoid.

One day, Nimah spends her money on the wrong item, and can't afford the costly pills she needs in order to survive.

She doesn't take a pill.

She awaits death.

But the twenty-four hours pass.

And she's still alive.
