Alix O'Brien isn't the one to fit in; she is a nineteen year old geeky, Perky Goth girl with an alien girlfriend and many extremely powerful abilities and powers. When her closed minded town outs her as a queer mutant, Alix and the love of her life flees to a larger, more accepting, city with no money and hardly any of their possessions. On the way, they meet another young mutant; a beautiful gay guy who has absolute level elastic powers due to him being amorphous and boneless.The three superpowered nineteen year olds discover a young adult shelter with other superpowered young adults and soon the young couple and their friend discovers the family that they never had before.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not.
