Beyond the Glass Ceiling

Alianna Sadie to her family.
Sadie to her friends.
And Ali to the one man that mattered.

His lips skimmed my neck sending spirals of tingles throughout my body.
"If you have anything else to tell me Ali, tell me now before I fall for you." His breath fanned against my shoulder and I shuddered trying to not show him how fast my heart was beating.
I had so much to say, so many secrets to unveil but I was in too deep. Too intoxicated by his affection, too spellbound by the glamorous life my friends pulled me into, too twisted in their secrets and in my secrets that I couldn't say anything.
So I turned my body around and rested my forehead against his, ignoring my pulsating body and pulling need.
"I've told you everything, there are no secrets between us." I whispered softly letting the words roll tentatively from my tongue.
With my eyes closed I could not see his gorgeous face but felt a smile form against my lips and a pang of guilt made my throat wobble.
But white lies were never bad, and what he doesn't know won't hurt him.

Alianna was tired of her boring life, it was meaningless and repetitive. So when her family moves to New York and she begins in a new school, she jumps at the chance of befriending the enchanting popular and enigmatic Cat. However being dragged into the life of glitz and glam isn't all that glorious and she will soon find out how the only way to survive is by telling little white lies.
