Despite Giles's efforts to let his adoptive daughter have a happy life, he couldn't quite stop the Watchers Council from raising her as a weapon. However, his efforts were not in vain as her humanity and empathy run deeper than most of the cold-hearted Watchers around her. Aud straddles the line with the duality of her existence, but no one would know with how happy she can seem.
