When Hugh and Vanessa meet on the app #Mood, things seem a bit off. They go to the same high school, yet they've never talked before. All they do is share passing glances as they walk down the hall. They don't talk to each other because they're in two different social groups. Vanessa on the top and Hugh on the bottom. You know how it is in high school, it's just not acceptable if they talk and it would be weird if they suddenly became friends, all because of the social ranking system.
Hugh is the awkward one out of the bunch. He doesn't talk or go out much, and barely has any friends. While Vanessa is the popular girl, she's always going to parties and has plenty of friends.
But when Hugh and Vanessa start to talk on #Mood, things between them instantly connect. They can talk all day and night about anything and everything. They grow to be so close, they feel like their bond can never be broken.
Until one of them deletes the app and disappears, leaving the other to pack things up and find them.
