Practically everyone dreams of having superpowers. Lift a building, breathe underwater, fly. But at such a cost? Morgan would very happily shove it back to wherever it came from.

In a close future, certain children and teenagers suddenly begin to exhibit their own unique superpowers. In order to contain them, keep the secret, and abuse these young adults' power for their own advantage, the government hunted them down and opened camps to train and brainwash these 'supernaturals' in cruel ways. It didn't matter if the child was five or eighteen; they'd take them and give them the same horrible treatment.

Morgan was hunted and taken. Rylie was not.

Morgan Carter was put in the camps and wasn't able to come out the same way she came in. She became their pet telekinetic/assassin, ready to kill and torture without hesitation and knew how to. She forgot her old life, including her name.

Rylie Garner paraded as Light Glider around his city-their own personal superhero-escaping being caught with the help of his friends while trying to find his little supernatural sister, who was taken.

But then, their stories began to intertwine.

Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence.
