In Spring of each year all of the Warriors who are of age in granted leave to travel the packs in search of a mate. It is said that Warriors who serve faithfully will be granted a worthy mate. It is common knowledge that no Warrior has ever rejected his mate and it is whispered among She- Wolves that Warriors make the best mates. No-one knows the reason but every Warrior mate that has ever been found has been rejected by their first mate. 

This unconventional relationship gives rejected She-Wolves one thing that nobody else can. Hope. 

This has been the way of the Warrior for many hundreds of years.  Until one day the rules are changed.
