Even before Princess Amaryllis is forced into a shady marriage deal with the dangerous Captain Darius, life as she knows it is being ripped away. The castle is in disarray. Her brother is determined to ruin her life. Even her mother, her only hope for the future, is slipping far out of her reach. 

The disposable princess doesn't have many options when Captain Darius appears like a white knight in blood stained armor.
