Everyone knows that the world of competitive dance is tough. Hailee Dermott learnt this from a young age from dancers and parents who she danced with and against. She managed to push it all to the side to get a spot in the American Ballet Theatre Company. At age 19 she was one of the youngest one in the company so she felt like she had to prove herself. The company is tight knit but it is still tough because everyone is still competing for the main roles in the ballet. Especially when the upcoming ballet is Swan Lake. Hailee knows that she is a good dancer but working with dancers years older with years more of training with her makes her doubt herself. She feels a need to push herself even harder and work even harder.
