Who are you and what are you doing standing there?" she asked on raised voice. I fixed her with an angry glare.

"I think there is a better place to carry out your impropriety rather than the sitting room" I retorted.

She stood from Corper's leg, with her hands on her hips. "Are you mad?" she yelled then turned to Corper. "Alex, what is the meaning of this? Who the hell is she and..." she turned to run her eyes up and down my body. Anger seemed to flare. "...And how come you got a new maid without informing me?"

The day had started as usual, with the promise of a calm and uneventful Sunday. The office was quieter than usual, the hum of computers and the occasional phone call creating a serene backdrop. I had taken a moment to escape the confines of my cubicle and retreat to the restroom, seeking a brief respite fbefore the meeeting. That's when she barged in, her voice a sharp contrast to the tranquillity. The familiarity of her presence was like a shock to my system, bringing with it a wave of memories. The last time I saw her, it was under very different circumstances. I watched as she fumbled with her bag, clearly agitated. Her long, silky hair was the same, cascading down her back like a waterfall. It was a sight that stirred something deep within me. I remembered how that hair used to brush against my skin, a sensation both comforting and thrilling. "Ma'am, I believe this is the men's toilet," I said, trying to keep my voice steady as I washed my hands. I could see the water on the floor, a hazard waiting to happen. "Is it? Who cares? I just need to wash my hands," she mumbled, not even looking up. "You should be careful with your heels. The floor is slippery," I warned. Just as I spoke, she turned towards me, her heel skidding on the wet tile. Instinct took over, and I reached out, grabbing her waist to prevent her from falling. For a moment, time seemed to freeze. Her hair fell over her face, and the scent of her perfume filled the air. It was a heady mix of familiarity and something new, something that spoke of changes and time passed. She quickly composed herself, standing up straight and fixing her hair and shirt. When she finally looked at me, her eyes widened in recognition. "You?" she asked, her voice a mix of fury and surprise. "You?" I echoed, equally taken aback.

I felt as if someone had dropped a boulder on my fragile heart. He peppered kisses on her neck and she giggled in response. Right in front of my eyes. I clenched my fist. Their proximity suffocated me. I couldn't breathe. Jealousy and agony gave way to pure rage and without thinking, I jerked the woman out of his hold and pushed her away. "What the hell," she glared at me and I glared back at her before turning my gaze on Alex. "Who is she? And why is she here?" I asked him and could hear my voice shaking because of the enormous rage I was feeling in that moment. I wanted to kill him along with her. He scanned my expression for a moment and then flicked his gaze away as if I don't even exist. "Let's get you to my room," he was about to grab her hand when I grabbed his. I turned to face the woman and gave her a death glare, "Leave." "What," She flicked her gaze on Alex who looked as taken aback as her. I was overly tempted to pluck her eyes out for looking at him. "Eyes here. I am his wife and the lady of this house. And I want you gone. Leave," I gritted out. Completely forgotten that I was going to leave this house tonight. "Only in the paper. And I am the owner of this house," he hissed in my face in a warning tone and then looked at the woman. "Go to my room, Selena," he told her in a stern tone. He was annoyed not by her but by me. I could feel his temper rising, but it was nowhere near mine. My heart shattered in million pieces when he said that. A drop of tear rolled down my cheek as I saw the woman taking the stairs from my peripheral view. My eyes were fixed on Alex who had his jaw set and eyes glaring fire.

"I thought we were going to talk?" I yelled angrily and kicked my shoe across the room. "I'm not talking to you when you're like that. You know where to find me when you've calmed down." She responded without giving me a second glance. "Fine, just forget about it then!" I screamed and kicked the other shoe away. I slumped down on the couch and flipped on the tv, turning the sound way up as I sat stewing in my own anger, glaring past the tv. I didn't even notice Leah coming back down before she snatched the remote from my hands. "Right, real mature Aurora ." She scowled and turned off the tv. "Hey give that back! I was watching that!" I yelled as I jumped out of the couch to get it back. Leah hid it in her back pocket to keep it away from me. "Oh right because that's real mature." I mocked as I tried to reach around her only to get my hand slapped away. "No way, not before you stop acting like a child." She replied and kept slapping my hands away. "Dammit Leah. Give it back!" I hissed annoyingly as I charged forward, pinning her to the wall. "Now will you give it back?" "No." She said and rolled her eyes. I reached behind her only to be twisted as Leah reversed our positions. "Are you done?" "No." I smirked as I realized some of my anger had gone away by our banter. "Too bad, then you're not getting it back." Leah huffed and pinned me a little harder to the wall. I held her gaze as she looked at me with annoyance. "I'll just wait till your arms get tired then." I teased. "Fuck you Aurora." She sighed and pushed away from me. Leah walked towards the stairs again and before she could reach for the remote I snatched it from her pocket, running away from her. "Hey!"

He towered over me, my frame being engulfed by his large build as he trapped me between his body and the wall of his office. His right hand leisurely unbuttoned my blouse as he leaned down to my height, the finger of his left hand under my chin, angling it up to look at him. "You're not my husband." My defiance burned bright, but my breath shuddered at his movements. "Yet." Fire swirled behind those eyes. His hand snaked on my bare skin, moving to my back as he reached for my bra, "And I don't see your body opposing me so," his warmth caressed my features, his face only a breath apart, "be a good girl, dove." "I'm not your 'good girl', Andrei." The quiet moan slipped past my lips, betraying me when his skillful hand unhooked my bra, freeing my breasts. "Push me away." My mind, foggy with desire and a hint of guilt; the guilt of not sticking with my plans and giving into his momentary pleasure. My silence was his answer. "That's what I thought," his knee pushed in between my legs, spreading them apart, "You're not my good girl, you're my dirty, little whore."

"Get out," I said in a firm voice, but it shook a bit at the end. The muscles in his jaw tensed when I said that. Instead of getting out, he closed the door and started taking calculative predatory steps toward me. His eyes moved all over my length. My heart started to drum fast. It made me take a step back until my back was flat against the wall. "I said get out," I repeated, trying to sound firm when he was only a step away from me. He stood in front of me with his hands in his pants pocket. "Last time I checked, I still own this place," he said arrogantly in his deep voice, which made me want to sink into the wall. He stood in front of me. "But it's my workplace," I breathed out when he cut an inch of distance between us. His body was not touching me, but my body still twitched as if his calloused hands were moving all over me. I lowered my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself, but my heartbeat raised when I heard steps coming towards us. "Someone is coming. Go from here," I found myself pleading. The steps became louder as if the person were just a few steps away from opening the door. I don't want rumours to be spread here. An evil smile formed on the corner of his lips looking at the distress on my face. "I'm not afraid to be seen with my wife," he said in his deep, low voice, sending shivers down my spine. My eyes snapped towards him in anger. I know he was doing this on purpose because no one here knows we are married. Why is he breaking the deal?
