The future is in a crisis. A worldwide storm decimated 90% of the world, leaving it a barren desert. The human population has dropped below 10℅, and the people need to survive. Unfortunately, they've lost the ability to reproduce so they rely on cloning. But soon cloning became defective as people grew older, so a woman by the name of Mallory Mayweather created a time machine and brought back a teenager to clone. Thus began the Equation. Thousands of teenagers were kidnapped and brought to the future, so the citizens there could have younger bodies. Ebony Maxwell is a 16 year old girl who is in her 2nd year of highschool. As she is arriving home, someone kidnaps her. She is brought to the future with no trace of her memory or who she is. Jake, is a worker for the Variables and encounters Ebony when she arrives in the future, with a punch to the face. He helps her escape and brings her to the rebellion, a group of teens who escaped from being cloned. He tells her all what he has learned about the Equation and the Operator. Will Ebony and Jake be able to take down the Equation and the Operator? Or will they get cloned? Find out on Variable: Genesis

It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. He believes in the small town they have populated and its mission to save humanity from extinction. He and his small team of men find scattered people and bring them in. Over the last two centuries, women have fought for and won more and more rights, gaining equality with men. Society, law, and technology bolsters and enforces these rights, but now they are gone. Women's equality with men is over. There are just too few of them. They aren't lesser but greater, more important, more valuable than men. Men are expendable. Men can stay outside alone if they like, but all women must be brought inside the safety of the Colony and properly taken care of. James has been searching the area Leah lives in. Her time of solitude is up. Leah sparks something in James he's never felt before. He's not letting this one get away, certainly not twice.
