Ruby is a teenage girl with teenage problems. She tries to end her life, but Mother Nature intervenes. She is then given a second chance at life, but with a twist. Not only was she a teenage girl, but she was a mermaid. Though life was filled with trials and errors, she was going to live this life to the fullest. She wasn't going to waste this second chance.
