Elisabeth was coming home for her sister's wedding to be the Maid of Honor. If she would've known what the Best Man, William would've been like though, she probably would've told her sister no and give it to her soon to be witchy sister in law- Carolynn.

William loved Chase like a brother but having all the mothers throwing their daughters at him, Will was about to ditch the whole thing and just send the Jean and Chase black plane tickets on his private jet to anywhere they want and pay for the honeymoon, then he met Elisabeth, Jean's sister, a spit fire that would rather kiss a frog than be in his presence.
