Conan was an ordinary working student until he "died." He suddenly awoke in a morgue with his body completely changed. He now has metal for skin, metal for flesh and bone, and hands that grow guns. Now he is a mechanical monster, and a superpowered one at that.

He escapes from the morgue and tries to grasp his situation. While his memory fails to tell him how he became this way, he sees that he can make a difference around him. There are plenty of criminals roaming the streets now. But things are different. What better way to clean the streets than with some old-fashioned vigilante justice?

Conan cannot begin to imagine what consequences lie ahead. . .

I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Pyre lives on whether you experience it or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A science-fiction novel, updated whenever there is new material to post. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own. For the sake of Wattpad I have divided up the chapters into parts, so everything under "The Glow" is Chapter 1 and so on. If you have read this far into the description, I thank you; you've made it further than mostly everyone before you. I hope you stick around. ⠀⠀

BOOK THREE OF THE CURSE SERIES The pack comes first. Always had, always will. There was absolutely nothing that could change Crystal Westwood's mind. Ever since she could remember, her father drilled information into her head of things she could never betray. One of them, and most importantly, was rogues. Never trust a rogue. They were vile, dangerous, and did acts too horrible to even imagine. That's what they told her. That's what she believed. Her mate was a rogue. She needed to reject him. She needed to get him out of her life. No matter how many ways she tries to justify her actions, she can't hide her true reason for staying away from him. The reason that nobody knows, that nobody ever will know. On a mission gone wrong, Crystal finds herself stuck, with her only option to rely on his help. Zeke Adair; the man she swore she'd never depend on. When things become complicated and enemies draw near, Crystal must decide what's more important; distancing herself from the only man her body accepts, or accepting his help and keeping her pack safe. . . .
