The New World We Live In

I moved to Ireland when I was 17. My fathers job had us moved there for some "special assignment". I didn't even know what my dad did for a living.
I was here for about 4 years when i finally figured out what he did.
My father worked at Center of Disease Control or otherwise called the CDC.
He was a scientist helping with some sort of serum. He said it was supposed to help people become stronger for something.
I couldn't ask him what went wrong before a flesh eating human kind of creature broke through a door and started charging at us.
I lost my dad that day.
I continued on to hunt for my little brother and my mom.
Walking out into the world the entire city was in complete chaos. Fires and car crashes. I didn't see any signs of the the dead human things.
I was on my own scavenging for about 2 weeks I think. Until I met a jet black haired man, named Sean. He was around my age. we stayed together not knowing where this world would lead us.
