But Rose had to learn without it one sudden Summer many years ago. Thick gloves kept her separated from everyone she would ever meet.
Now after a particularly delinquent prank at school she was sent away with her younger brother to her uncle John's home over the summer. Should have been a summer of boring work would suddenly take a turn as a series of ships landed on the center of the island.
