Ephemeral

Emery was diagnosed with leukemia at a young age. And up until now she's been stuck in the bland hospital, the only thing to ever keep her company constantly were her books. Learning words that weren't even in the dictionary and never having friends until now. With her cancer gone and summer just approaching, it's time to experience all that she's missed.

"I'm NOT doing that!" A laugh escaped my throat as I stared at her, she pulled at my hand dragging me closer to the water. It was absolutely stunning.
"You're going skinny dippy, Missy, it's time you learned to live. This doesn't last forever, what's that word you use.-"
