Eddie has always been in love with Richie since they were kids. They do everything together that a couple would do except, they aren't a couple. Richie won't allow it and he won't allow Eddie to love him either. Eddie has to deal with the fact that the boy he loves will act like he loves him back but will never actually feel that emotion toward him.
