In the not-so-far future of 2049, the world as we know it has fallen into chaos. With an ancient disease rummaging the earth (due to global warming and the melting of the icebergs, which housed many viruses), humanity sought safety within their fortified cities. Electrified walls hundreds of feet off the ground had been built in and around cities all over the world to keep the diseased out and the healthy in. They even went as far as creating small sections of cities for the diseased, known as 'solomus communities', where you would be dumped for showing any sign of the disease, wether you were infected or not. For years, the healthy people, living in what are known as 'simulus communities', had been told that the outside world was a dangerous place, only inhabited by savage animals. But when people started breaking into the walls, people started to get suspicious. It was only after the outsiders started ransacking schools and taking students when people started getting restless. More and more deaths were being recorded in the solomus communities, and not due to sickness. Talks of riots and an uprising were circulating throughout the city. What millions of people had known as their home was on the brink of a rebellion. It was any normal day for Blair Samuel. Get up, eat breakfast, go to school. You could've even called it boring. That is, until screams started ringing throughout the hallways and gunshots could be heard in the distance. And at that moment, Blair's day was about to become a lot more interesting.

Let's get one thing straight here, I'm not a hero (I totally am, but I hear that these days being modest is in fashion or something, so I don't know man). I never planned on being a hero. It kind of just happened. Clark's the bigshot. The fame, the girls, the attention. Me? I'm just his loser younger brother. Another rich Trackerson kid, but that quiet one with no personality. I'm kidding. I'm funny. I promise. I have to be. The name's Liam. The apocalypse wasn't easy on anyone, but it was harder on some. We made it okay. My family lives in a mansion, and we basically run this town. I come from a line of famous zombie-hunters. Not me, though. I kind of suck. I was never supposed to get bitten. I'm running out of time. I'm turning, and it's happening fast. People are rising up, feuds are breaking out, the world is ending all over again; and it's all up to me to stop it. Or something. Crazy, right? Anyway, I've got to go. I guess the good part is, if they find out my secret-if they kill me-at least not many people are going to miss me. I just hope they get my name right. L-I-A-M. It's not hard. Please, for the love of humanity, remember my name. Whatever they call me after all this, remember my name.
