Suddenly at 36 I was alone.
Three dogs, a very demanding job, a house in very good need of maintenance, dead flowers, and a soul full of sorrow. That was me.
I can't even start to explain how a broken heart hurts. I'm pretty sure most of people reading this have experience it, if not feel really lucky. It hurts as hell.
There is a way pain gets in every inch of your body and mind, like a serpent, it squeeze's you, disarming every little high esteem or happy thought you have. 
There is no way your esteem (and heart) survives the 5 most painfull words a soul in love can receive: I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE.

Maybe 10 years give love a different path, you start to forget to be in love, to make love  or to inspire love. Maybe you forget about courtship and stop pretending, or maybe it is just that you feel extremely secure. 
Maybe is just that old indigent t shirt you get into to when coming from work.
Either way, even though you receive a warning (like the most typical coincidence in a affair of your husband and your very good friend), sometimes you want to block it. There is no way this is happening to you. You start feling the anger and desilusion, the power of sadness. Sometimes you want to kill the bastard, sometimes you want him to love you back. Sometimes you want the pain to go away.
