Always the proud best friend of Jacob Black, Sage Lucero has many memories of his childhood, and all of them take place beside Jacob's side. The two of them, as close as brothers and as strong as any army known to man.
When Bella Swan captures Jacob's attention, it's Sage's duty as a best friend to make sure he gets the girl. Even if that means a bit of stalking and finding the right times to "accidentally" run into the brunette with Jacob in tow.
Though Jacob's heart seems to be set on Bella Swan, that all changes when both of them live up to their heritage's conditions. Both of them turning into creatures of the night, hell-bent on protecting the humans of Forks from the vampires that lurk within in the shadows.
But there physical appearance isn't the only thing that changes, because as they both recover from the damage of turning into a wolf; both realize that their former relationship was only a gateway to the one they have now.
