"Who are you?" I asked, still left in the shock and scared state that came over me when gunshots were heard. I look up to his face which was hidden behind a dark shadow and bit my lips as silence fell between us. "Who I am is none of your business," he said in a cold, husky voice that somehow caused me to shiver. A frown made it's way onto my face as I looked at the mysterious man who refused to tell me who he is. She has now entered a world where chaos, lies, hurt, death and truth reside and will find herself in a place where though decisions are thrown at her. So, What will she do when she's being chased down by enemies that seek to take her innocent life? Can she trust a man, she never knew, to protect her? Can she....survive? There was young girl who was studying to ballet who went to a traveling fair. Her group was guided to a tent that had "The Devil's Child" in a cage. The worker took the bag off the poor boy's face to show the his face was deformed. The boy being around the young girl's age. The worker began to beat the boy as everyone laughed and had fun. Everyone but the young girl. Once the show was over, everyone started to leave, including the young girl. But she stopped to look back at the boy only to see him strangling the worker from behind with a rope. She hurried over and help the boy out of the cage as an angry mob started, calling the boy "murderer". The young girl hurried out with the mob following. She went over to the Opera House and opened a secret entrance for the boy to enter before running to the doors and went in. She made her way below the Opera House and found the boy where she left him and grabbed his hand, dragging him further and hiding him from the cruel world. This young girl was me. Roxanne Daae.
