Julia, just months from becoming a full-werewolf, is now halfway through her pregnancy, has officially hooked up with the father of her babies ...sort of... and on the run from the Alpha that destroyed her Pack. Her Pack, having escaped an attempt to destroy them and having suffered some terrible loss in the process, have abandoned their home that they've owned for generations and are following her Alpha to a an Island in Australia, with new werewolves, new wildlife, new slang, and isolation. Beautiful safe isolation. Julia hopes this means it's the end of stress, fights or conflict for her and her babies. Hopes this will be a fun adventure. That nothing will go wrong and that from now on, the pregnancy, the werewolf thing and the babies will be all easy sailing. Right? Safe territory, safe Pack, hospital with drugs within plane or boat ride, and she's hooked up with a good looking guy who she adores. That's all a girl wants, right? So why does she feel so uneasy and uncertain about all of this?

Round Five - Spy-Fi. 4. FBI Agent John Masters was convinced there were humans with special powers, existing side by side with ordinary people. But were they with humanity - or against us? Round Four - Superhuman. 3. Version 8 Androids, Kate and Peter, looked like real people - they were Bianca's best product yet. But was it possible they looked too human? Round Three - Bardpunk. 2. Sam and Dean have been fighting a losing battle against demons for years. Now Sam thinks he might have a more permanent solution. Round Two - Alternate History. 1. Lost. There is a price on her head, and she was already sold to a breeding house once but she escaped. There are only two known hybrids on the planet of Wolfeen. But Tati didn't choose this. None of the hybrids did. She was abducted from Earth by an alien species known as the Ghoul who conduct inhumane experiments on humans in the name of the almighty dollar for a woman named Andrea Webb, former director of the agency K9 before her illegal trafficking of altered humans was revealed by K9 agents. Zeus is a Wolfeen tech agent working for unit 10 of the K9 agency. He and his team broke the case on hybrids when one of his fellow agents, Brock fell for one of the hybrids. Apparently much like the female Wolfreen, the human hybrids altered with Wolfeen DNA react exactly the same as born Wolfeen's. Only to a much more dangerous degree. When a hybrid meets their fated mate, they go into heat, and because they can't handle it, if they aren't mated quickly the heat can cause permanent damage to their brain function, internal organs, and even death. As if that threat isn't enough, Webb is still hunting the hybrids under K9 protection.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258!
