Yetişkin
The Philippines is under martial law again decades after the Marcos Era. Another revolution is fast approaching and in the middle of it all is Bethany and Elissah Martinez. As they welcome two strangers to their home for the rebel group ARMN, things start to change. Their tasks become more drastic and they end up in situations they didn't think was possible.

In a road full of hindrances, the end is nothing like they imagined. In fact, it's not the end at all.

***Rated as mature due to graphic scenes and violence. Nothing hella sexy and steamy here.

🏆 SHORTLIST - OPEN NOVELLA CONTEST 2024 🏆 A young journalist must navigate a war-torn country and the intricacy of first love in order to save herself and her family. ⋯⋯⋯ In 2042, invaders crossed Philippine waters and marked the start of the war. Two years later, Maian Dizon, a displaced Metro Manila journalist, navigates the war-torn streets in search of a way out of the country. However, when her path crosses with Kian Lucero, a reservist medical doctor, doubts creep in. With the guilt he carries, the foreboding loss on her shoulders, and the pressing needs of her family, her calling points her back to her homeland with no promise of salvation. But the attacks crawl closer every day, and Maian must devise a plan to save the people she loves, even if it means sacrificing herself. From the award-winning author of 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘋𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘌𝘯𝘥 comes a story of love and life, and how they fade and thrive at the face of war. There is an end to peace, memory, and glory, but there are things that will live forever. We only have to find them. ˜"°•.˜"°•˜"°•.˜"°•˜"°•.˜"°• © 2024 (First Edition) [30,000 - 35,000 words] [All graphics are made by @sardonictabby] C/TW: Some scenes in this story contain graphic physical violence, disturbing themes, or character introspection that may upset or trigger the reader. (ON-GOING) The Philippines, 2125. Are you curious what will happen exactly one hundred years from now? Will cars finally soar above our heads, turning highways into skies? Will the world be so high-tech that humans barely lift a finger? Or... will robots rise and take over everything we thought we controlled? What about the future of us, our country, our leaders, our people? What will politics in the Philippines look like in the year 2125? Who will rule the cities, the islands, the entire nation? Will we still fight for freedom, or will freedom already be redefined? In 2125, the world is ruled by technology, yet haunted by forgotten promises of the past. Somewhere between the ticking of the present and the silence of tomorrow, two souls collide. One carries the weight of history, the other the spark of what is yet to come. But destiny is a circle, not a straight line. And when hearts learn to travel through time, across memories, across centuries, love becomes the only future worth fighting for. Because maybe the question isn't what kind of future awaits us...but who is waiting there with us.
