The year is 2059, the world is still recovering from the chaos that is The 2nd American Civil war. Great Britain proclaimed hard Brexit, invaded and annexed Ireland. Russia proclaimed ownership of both Crimea and Chechnya. Hong Kong is in ruins, as China doubled downed on military occupation. Paris is a boulevard of guerrilla warfare, as Yellow Vests demands a government change. Germany succumbed to Russian oil embargoes, trading black gold with allowance for full warfare in Syria. Palestine and Israel is still the same as it was in 1960s, just skirmishes between the two rivals.
Because of the massive war effort the supposed 'Allies' brought, technology rapidly advances yet again. Cybernetics keep disabled soldiers fighting. Machine learning allowed environmental recognition. Nuclear power allowed naval railguns to be viable, and used extensively as high-priority missile interceptors, thus rendering ICBMs useless. Exoskeletal suits, though still in early development, allowed a single personnel to carry and fire 40mm and up AA guns, acting as an extremely long range sniper, if bombing was out of the question. War kickstarted fusion research, as trillions upon trillions are funneled into the project. The result is a semi-profitable energy source from deuterium and the extremely rare helium-3 in a helical stellarator reactor, projects about returning to the moon a third time has been proposed.
In this story, we follow Natalya Nevinnaya, an ex-SAS sniper living off military benefits and 'retirement' as she attempts to deal with the deaths of her teammates, using alcohol, anime and violence as coping mechanisms.

Special Cases - A Hoshi Conflicts Story
After a shaky year, a sight of relief can finally be let out. In the aftermath of the series of insurrections that happened in Sector C, the supercluster was once again at peace under the prosperity of the 5th Army of OverWatch. It was now a time of change in order to prevent further turmoil or conflict. While that was happening however, a cyberattack is carried out against the 5th Army's super AI - the V.O.X., which poses a threat to military and government operations. The OverWatch Intelligence and Special Combats Bureau organises an investigation team to uncover the source of the cyberattack, so it became a joint investigation between the two primary branches of the bureau, the special intelligence agency and the naval command. Author's note: This is a side story to the main series known as "Hoshi Conflicts". This lore was collectively built by a group of people, for the past 3-4 years. What began as a lore for roleplaying, has created a fully branched story, where individuals are given the task to question their ethics and questions of wether one's fighting for a right cause. The characters that are told in this story are a mix of from many other medias, and a great hanfull were not created by the me - the author. Humanity once stood on the top of the world. They ruled the planet with an iron grip. Their rise in technology, industry, engineering, and science were quickly growing. However, an invasion on a worldwide scale had occurred in late 2023. Though there were initial successes in repelling these unknown, mechanical entities. They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations. All while the fates of Goddess squad and the now legendary Captain Nicholas Miller had remained a mystery.Concluída

The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. The government every year tasks its elite soldiers to participate in a nation-wide Cull. Hundreds of children are taken from homes and put into one of four Facilities. While most of them will be offered comfortable lives in the forms of low-ranking militia commandos and government jobs, a few will be groomed to be the successors for the highest office the government has to offer: The Law. To ensure that they would be able to keep ruling the world, The Law started implanting chips into all its citizens. These chips called DEC, as Contained electrical current, it's an electronic chip that looks like a silver dot, these chips allowing The Law and any actual law enforcement to be able to track everyone. And it would help to keep everyone in line and stomp out any pesky notions before they manifested into something bigger, something dangerous. Shirley is known in the Facility as Ten, alongside six others, they have spent years enduring confinement and rigorous testing in order to secure a future as head of the Law. When a group calls themselves the codas breaks into the Facility and kidnaps Ten and the others, she's forced to re-examine her future plans. In the year 2050, post-apocalyptic world, a lone girl must choose between becoming the next-in-line to head a corrupt government or siding with those who wish to see the world a better place. Order and lies, or truth and freedom? Whatever she chooses, one thing is clear: both sides bleed.
