The "egos" are just some fun characters created by Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. Unless they happen to be two sets of best kept secrets, that Mark and Jack are sick of carrying around with them. When the guys go to strange lengths to try and rid their lives of the paranormal duplicates, things only get stranger. No one expected them to shrink, but now that they have, the guys realize they may have created more problems than they solved. (( This is a long, chapter story. Completed. Yeah, I made the egos tiny. When people see things out of the ordinary (or at least, their idea of ordinary), they get defensive. Violent. And all they have to do is see a familiar sign. If anyone has the "mark", they make do to cover it up. Of course, some aren't lucky, and the mark is in plain sight. If one ego is killed, the other egos sense their pain. If one is seriously injured, the egos feel their pain until it stops. And as we all know , there are two ways to stop pain- get cured or get killed. Jack turned around to find another character from his computer screen manifested into a reality. The curious white mask was already etched into his memory - his hands clasped behind his grey shirt and black jeans. He stood composed with an air of pretentious mystery. "...You." Jack growled. Suddenly Anti was the least of his problems. - From Section Three: "̸Yo̸u ̴C̷an̸'t ̶Get̴ ̷Ri̷d̴ o̷f̶ M̴e̴...̷" ---------- October 2016... the month no one in the JSE community will ever forget. One and The Same (a Jacksepticeye and egos AU story)
For years, scientists have wanted to see if they could extract a human conscience and split it into its individual parts. Over and over again they tried and over and over again they failed. Until one day, when they found a way that they were sure would work. The problem: they needed a brand new test subject. Enter Jack. Jack (known as Jacksepticeye on youtube) was kidnapped by the scientists and experimented on. His conscience was extracted and split into individual parts, his body was cloned and the main bulk of his conscience was implanted back into him. Jack survived the experience with very little physical and mental damage and the experiment was deemed a success. And so, the egos were born. They and Jack were kept in the lab and experimented on until the opportunity arose to escape. Once they are released into the real world, Jack discovers looking after multiple clones of himself who know nothing about the outside world is going to be a lot harder than he thought. And to make things worse, Jack is now sharing his mind with Anti. Where the others just want to live their lives as normally as they can, Anti wants revenge. He wants the world to know what they have been through and he wants the scientists to burn for what they did. He craves attention and is willing to get it in any way possible, even if that means putting the group's new-found freedom in jeopardy.

I woke up in an unfamiliar place. I was in a room with TVs all stacked on the wall in front of me. I felt of ping of pain in my head and my memory came flushing back. Suddenly, the TVs flashed to life, all sitting on static. Jack's face came up on the screens, with each one showing a different part of it, making it look more like a movie theater screen. Well, a distorted version of him. Hey eyes were pitch black with a green iris, and there was a slit on his neck with a layer of dried blood. "J-jack? H-how? Why?" "You don't remember me either? Jeez you guys are just the definition of out of sight out of mind, huh?" he cradled the knife in his hands. His image glitched and convulsed on the TV, which I assumed was some kind of special effect. "If you're not him, then...who are you?" "Me? Well.." he giggled. All the TVs went black. As he spoke the next sentence, he would appear on a different screen with each statement. "I'm the one...the only...the all-powerful...Antisepticeye!" ----------- Mark decides to stay at Jack's house during a special, one-time convention over in Brighton. But ever since he got there, Jack was acting strangely. First being late to the airport, nightmares, even having full blown panic attacks. Mark does his best, but he has absolutely no idea what's wrong. Soon enough, he finds out. And it's NOT was he was expecting. What happens when secrets are revealed, and faded memories return? _____________________________________ A/N: While Mark/Markiplier does play a role at a main character, this is NOT a Septiplier fan fiction. Mark and Jack are both single is this story, but only friends, nothing more.

But only a few observant people notice that sometimes Jack isn't himself... not entirely human and something... evil with a touch of supernatural powers that Jack himself couldn't possibly have. This side of him is usually called "Antisepticeye." Jack surely has had enough of sharing his body with this evil side of him. Especially after the incident with the Warfstatche interview leaving him in serious pain. Things have to change. But who will be the dominant winner? Will Jack be able to get his body back? Or will Antisepticeye always be here to stay spreading evil, undoing the usual positivity Jack spreads?
