In a distant time, Annalise and Kirin lead two completely different lives.
Annalise is a stubborn, violent girl who has issues with strangers. Her past is dark and filled with blood, And her future doesn't look any brighter. Especially not when a stranger comes into her home and tells her a ridiculous story about how she is destined to save the kingdom and release all the species from the tyrannical rule of the king.
Kirin is a tired dragon who can not be bothered to interfere in the lives of the humans, or any of the species for that matter. His past is a long story of loneliness and filled with more carnage than even a battlefield after a war.
And when the two of them finally meet, their worlds collide and they find that a heavy burden has been placed on their shoulders.
They're destined to save the realm, but can they do it?
