Paris Smith had it at all. Being the CEO of a company supplying weapons to one of America's most top secret security agency was certainly a job and a half, however she had never involved herself in the issues of S.H.I.E.L.D. and H.Y.D.R.A., prefering to avoid them as best as she could. But when bad coincidences lead the Avengers to her doorstep in London, England, Paris is swiftly dragged into the mess of America and Asgard. However, any secrets Paris may have hoped to keep, are quickly revealed in S.H.I.E.L.D. which only leads to conflict amongst the other members of the team she was so swiftly recruited to. Mistakes have been made in her past, accidents happen, and surely, it's far too rare for it to happen once again?

The avengers have a lot going on. The world needs a lot of saving. And when the world calls, the avengers answer. Sometimes these missions go well, sometimes things happen outside of their control. And between trying to live a normal life, balancing relationships and trying not to die while out on missions.. well, it's not always so easy. And sometimes even the avengers need saving. But just because someone saves you once, doesn't mean they'll be there to catch you again. Not everyone is a hero. So is it someone they can trust?
