Shaji's life was great until his tenth birthday when everything started going downhill. He met a creature that is a fragment of his mind, the Shadow, that toyed with his reality. Normally, Shaji was a shy boy that played kickball with his friends outside, but the Shadow took that and everything else away. The Shadow led Shaji to commit murder, though Shaji claimed it wasn't him. Shaji claimed the Shadow slashed that person's throat, not him. Will Shaji beat his dark friend? Will he find justice? Her only escape from this twisted reality is a creature named Shadow. A terrifying creature that is somehow more humane than the so-called humans around her. Shadow could easily take all her problems away, but Melody refuses to take the easy way out. That is, until she just couldn't take it anymore, she takes Shadow's offer and soon her life got better. Her bullies started disappearing, showing up dead in the woods. Their bodies badly mutilated, almost unrecognizable. Life at school started getting better, she finally had human friends and even a boyfriend. Her "father" was found dead at her house. The torture had finally ended. Unfortunately this story doesn't have a happy ending, after all karma always strikes back.Complete

I gripped the pan and smacked the figure twice on the head when I saw the shadow. "Ow why are you doing that?!" I heard him groan. For good measure I smacked him two more times. " Am I supposed to just let an intruder wander through my house?" I huff. " That's fair" he lets out a laugh. The longer I stared at him the more I realized he wasn't human, more like a shadow.
