They stood face to face, eyes focused on each other; as if they were undressing each other's secrets. It was only then; did she begin her tale. "There once was the goddess of love, who was struck down on Earth; and ended up falling in love with a human. But the world was in constant peril. Humans killing off its own brethren. The goddess was hurt by this deeply and wanted to eradicate evil once and for all. But as she was about to weave a spell, her lover died in battle. Distraught as she was, her heart became filled with hate, hatred towards humanity. Wanting revenge, she strived to plunge the whole world into darkness. But the god of war stopped her. In retaliation, she weaved a spell with her dying breath. That when the world is yet again at war, a god will be forced to appear; and when he does, he'll be forced to fall in love with humanity, just to watch them be destroyed by that same hatred. As she died at the god of war's hand and a broken heart, she set that same plan in motion; challenging fate. It's only fitting that the god who would stop it all, would be time. I was born for this very purpose. Every century, a member of my family was chosen to stop darkness, and every century they conquer it; now its our turn. I come from a long line of demi gods, and that's how I can see you." At that moment, the wind outside was howling; echoing the pain Fayre spoke of; nature was confirming this tale. "What happened to your family members that were chosen?" Amser inquired. "They died." Fayre revealed. "And I'm supposed to believe that you'll meet that same fate?" Amser replied. "There's a price to pay at the cost of saving humanity." Fayre said. "Are they even worth saving?" Amser questioned. "Yes."
