La historia data en los años 80, en la que se muestra la vida de Tomás, un pequeño niño de tan sólo 5 años de edad que se ha quedado huérfano tras la misteriosa muerte de sus padres quiénes antes de morir habrían dejado una carta en la que redactan el verdadero motivo de su muerte, aquella carta estaría bajo el resguardo de una de las encargadas del orfanato quien por ningún motivo o circunstancia debería de mostrársela hasta que el pequeño Tomás haya cumplido los 15 años de edad, desde su infancia ha sido un gran tormento de tristeza y soledad, pasando por varias situaciones que pondrán en peligro su vida, pero con la ayuda de su amiga Alice una extraña niña de largo cabello y ojos negros como la noche tratarán de averiguar la verdadera razón del ¿Porqué sus padres de Tomás murieron? sin dejar rastro alguno de sus cuerpos que pudiesen haber llevado a su misteriosa muerte.
