This story can be read as a stand alone book, but it has connective tissues to The Skye's the Limit. Although there will be a third book, and that book is a continuation from both of these stories.

The galaxy already knows about the crew on the Spector. This book introduces another crew. This one has two 18 year old girls. One named Harper, and the other one named Kira. Kira is another crystal-user.
Mia is her mentor. Big Brother is still at large, but this time there's a face to them. Kira was abandoned by her parents when she was a baby. She was left alone to survive. She joined the resistance.
Kira is a great fighter, and very compassionate. Unfortunately for her so is the face of Big Brother. The face of Big Brother is a man of the name Lincoln Fanger. He is also a crystal-user, but his isn't blue-green. His is red-yellow. They are from opposites sides, yet they come together.
