Laine is a 17 year old boy boy who lives in New York with his family, or so you can call them. Laine's father is frequently working and even when he is home, he never seems to care, letting Laine's Step-mother run the household. Quiet and somewhat rebellious, Laine is a typical NYC high school student. But what lies behind that smile? One day his step brother and step sister rummages through his room and phone hoping to prank him only to find out he is gay! Looking down on him even more and laughing at it, they throw Laine out of the closet, shocking his step-mother and his father. His step mom belittles him and scorns his very existence while his father glares at him in disgust and disappointment. What else could go wrong? His step siblings spread the rumors and slowly Laine is too embarrassed to go anywhere. As summer is fast approaching, his parents plan a trip to travel Europe and they have the time of their lives all the while ignoring and pretending Laine isn't there. Alone and refusing to agree with his family's views, Laine stubbornly talks back and criticizes their close minded views. On the morning of their departure from France, Laine is told by his parents to leave the family and they shove him away and leave him stranded on a foreign country where he doesn't even understand French. All of the sudden Laine finds himself chased and targeted by multiple people and is chased to the very edge of a mysterious and vast forest. Terrified and beaten without reason, Laine sudden finds himself running for his life for several days whether its people or simply wolves.
