Being the son of an alleged dirty cop isn't easy. Jeff has been bullied since the first accusation was slung, and he's learned that putting on the tough guy act and assuming the rest of the world wears a mask is the only way to get through. Using his natural talent, Jeff is able to push away anybody who ever tried to get close to him, regardless of their intention.

One such person is the local outcast, Brant. After coming out of the closet, he's been given the worst that life has to offer, especially after his dad's suicide. Admiring Jeff from afar has only cemented Brant's affection for the other boy, but every attempt to reach out has been met with frustration, anger, and bitter rejection. Can Brant break through Jeff's calloused personality and show him there's more to life than being a social scandal? Or will Brant be just another mask for Jeff to ignore while trying to make it through high school?
