The morning I woke up, it was dawn.
My name is Saffron.
I live in the so called, 'Free England'.
Maybe that's not so true.
The world is dying, Australia has sunk, and parts of America are gone.
It's only 2027 and 4 years ago they predicted that the world would end.
The oxygen is falling, it's limited.
We've been on Mars, and we have gone to Neptune.
But we haven't been able to sustain life there.
It's sad.
The world is at it's end.

Until scientists found a planet only couple light years away that is a sister planet to Earth. No one has ever been on this planet before and is unsure what will people find there. So on the year B18, all children born within that year were taken from their families and sent into a spaceship to be trained and prepared for the landing of this new planet. Samantha and her squad are flying through space and preparing themselves both mentally and physically for the adventures of this new planet. The Day We Left Earth
If we stayed there any longer, we would have died. Earth was no longer our home, but instead a barren waste land from which we had to escape. Its calm blue oceans were replaced by big empty pits, and the green grass which used to cover our planet has now died, leaving all ground we tread on brown. The sun was getting too close to earth.
