Claire has a complicated life. Her mother wants her to be a cliché high school cheerleader. But how can Claire do that when her brother barely ever talks and her mother becomes abusive? When Claire's mother makes her go to a party with the other cheerleaders, her life suddenly starts to go down hill just because she was wearing black instead of pink. After finding out a terrible piece of information, Claire attempts suicide that leads to her being put into a mental hospital. While there she meets some new friends and maybe even a future lover.
