Loki and Thor continue their lives in Asgard after Thor (2011). The Avengers never happened. They both fall for the same woman Odin brought to Asgard: Rose. Is it love, is it lust? Anyhow, the competition is on!  Then there's also the question of why Odin brought her to Asgard in the first place? Why her? Would Odin, for once in his life, reveal his true motives and the whole truth before any damage is done?

On Asgard, Odin is critically ill, possibly even dying. Odin has banished Loki to Midgard for all eternity. Odin has sent for Thor to take the throne but Thor refuses because he doesn't want to leave Jane. Thor convinces Odin to lift Loki's banishment, so that Loki can take the throne. Odin then sends Thor to Midgard to find Loki. With the help of Heimdall, Thor finds Loki. He's singing in a Midgardian rock band. Once back on Midgard, Thor tells the Avengers that he must get Loki, so he can take the throne. Thor needs someone to talk to Loki on his behalf. Someone that Loki doesn't know.
