She was used as a lab rat for HYDRA, turned into a weapon. Tortured, experimented on, locked up, caged. Ophelia was always obedient to HYDRA, always dutiful and efficient in the beginning. When HYDRA captures Steve Rogers' best friend, James Buchanan Barnes, she witnesses his transformation from American soldier to HYDRA weapon.
