Hermione and Draco live different lives. After the war, Hermione became a therapist for war victims. Struggling with her own past and present, her own home life far from peaceful, she finds her escape while at work and feels comfort being able to bring others peace. 

Meanwhile, Draco lives his life riddled with nightmares having flashbacks to his time at war. Hermione, of course, easily agrees and is actually excited. Ron and Harry would rather not go, but, of course, Mrs. Weasley is making them. All summer, Ron has been moody and distant. But lately, he's been rude and almost cruel towards Harry and Hermione. And when they arrive at Hogwarts, Ron starts acting possessive and abusive. Hermione was going to tell someone, but as much as she hated to admit it, she's clueless. She's hurting physically and emotionally. And worst of all, she's scared. She's backed into a corner and has no one to run to. Or does she?
