Valerie Lloyd aspired to be an author. Living in a rich,comfortable life in Kingston was not something everyone had. Especially since the war broke out, many were devastated. In order to get away for the pressurizing claws of her snooty, upperclass family, she decided to leave and become a nurse, in a nursing corps in London. When she is assigned to Connor Gray, a 25 year old injured soldier, they become close to each other and soon, Connor was falling for her. But she had to leave London for a week.
